TAKING YOUR HOLIDAY HOME FROM CALAIS TO DOVER

BOOKING
  • When looking for departure times, select 'Trailer', 'Caravan' or 'Motorhome' from the drop down options.
  • Select the right size for your car and caravan’s dimensions.
  • Remember to include any extra length or height if you plan to have bicycles on the back of your vehicle or roof boxes on top.
BEFORE YOU TRAVEL
  • Check that your travel and breakdown insurance covers you for driving your caravan or motorhome in England.
  • Get your motorhome or caravan serviced before you travel, and plan your route in England so you know where caravans and motorhomes can stay or park.
DEPARTURE DAY
  • During busy periods (like summer and bank holidays) allow extra time to get to the port.
  • Check in at least 30 minutes before your departure time.
  • You’ll pass through passport control before you go through to check in.
DRIVING IN ENGLAND
  • You must remember to drive on the left.
  • Carrying a map of England may help you if you are planning on travelling around during your stay.
