Solo activities in Amsterdam

If you’re looking to explore Amsterdam by yourself then there are activities to keep you busy. A lot of solo travellers really enjoy the number of museums that Amsterdam has to offer. Two of the most popular museums include the Van Gogh Museum or the Rijksmuseum, both of which are in close proximity of one another. Our top tip is to book these online in advance to save you time when you arrive.

For a quieter experience why not head to the Museum Van Loon to explore its beautiful gardens. The museum is named after the family that lived there in the 19th Century and is a 16th Century canalside house and offers a slightly different experience to the other museums.
