About Tralee

Outdoor activities in Tralee

Those who love water sports should head to Tralee Bay Wetlands. Not only does this attraction offer a range of water sports, but you can also opt for a guided boat tour which will enable you to discover the local wildlife. If you’re travelling to the wetlands as a family, we would highly recommend checking out the interactive wildlife exhibition where you can find out about the area in a fun and engaging way.

Tralee and the County of Kerry are well-known for their wild waters and the adventures that these provide. For example, sea kayaking opportunities offer a popular way to explore the stunning coastline, and many people travel here to try out open water swimming too.

A family day out in Tralee

For a fun family day out in Tralee, Bowling Buddies is the place to be. As well as ten-pin bowling lanes, this attraction is home to the skywalker adventure - an indoor high ropes course for those looking for an adrenaline filled activity.

The Playdium in Tralee, a soft play area for children under 12, is another great option for families. It's the largest facility of its kind in the country and will keep your kids entertained for hours.

Our last family-friendly recommendation is Crag Cave, a million year old magical cave that is wonderland of fossils. It's great for the whole family, and the Crazy Cave is designed for children of all ages. Home to a mega slide, indoor sports centre, climbing frames, and so much more, you can let your little ones run wild!
