Cairnryan Ferry Terminal is easily accessible by road, rail, or bus.

 

Below you’ll find all the information you need to get there on your departure day. Make sure you leave in plenty of time – check-in closes 30 minutes before departure with a vehicle, or 45 minutes if you’re travelling on foot. Give yourself some extra flexibility by upgrading to our Standard Flexi Ticket.

  • Getting to us by

    Cairnryan Ferry Port is just 5 miles north of Stranraer on the A77. If you’re travelling from England/the south, follow the M6/A74 past Carlisle to Gretna and A75 west, joining the A77 just before Stanraer. Coming from Scotland/the north, follow the A77 coast road from Glasgow. There is limited free parking at the port.

  • Arriving at the Port

    Please ensure you use the correct lane once you arrive at the port and stay in it until boarding the ferry and obey traffic lights/signals. There will be stewards at hand to help direct you if you are unsure of where to go.

    *first to board is only available on our Dover to Calais and Cairnryan to Larne routes. Our Hull to Rotterdam route can only provide priority disembarkation.

    Once you arrive at Larne you’re only a 35 minute drive from the historic capital of Northern Ireland, Belfast. Just follow the A8 and M2 south and you’ll be there in no time. The impressive city of Londonderry is also easily accessible, only one and a half hours drive away from the port. There are also train services connecting the port to Larne Town, Belfast and beyond.
